P6 JD have been doing our project on a community. We have designed people, houses, names and now we are voting for a character to be the councillor and we are starting parties for who we want to vote for!

Hi Rebecca here to tell you a bit about what p6JD have being doing. This morning we were doing some drawings for our class island and we were also making some houses, which involved sticking things down. As you may have read all of the class got on to the island which meant we all had to make houses.

P6JD – interviews to get on the island

For our community project we all had to become a character on the island then we were interviewed to see if we could live on the island. We have all got on to our class island. Some interviews were really funny. For example I was dressed up as a cleaner whose cat’s name was pop-goes-the -wee-zull - it’s nick name was pop. My friend Ailsa looked so wierd - she was a hippy mum with a puppet as her husband!!!!

P6 Community

P6Jd project has been community. We had a competition to design an island and the winner was Jessica Mowat. We have a beach called Shell Cove Beach. Also we have a lake called LollyPop Lake and a cove called Candy Cove. We have cliffs called Cokkie Cliffs and we have a river called Tropical River. Below is a map of our island.

P6JD were making a community for our class island. We all made 2 households for our island , than we got partners and than we voted for one of our households to maybe go on the island! On Friday the 17 of November we are going to get interviewed and if you are not good enough you won’t get to go on the island.

P6 are doing a project on Community. Everyone has to be a person on the island.I’m a girl called Rachel Frost who owns a hairdresser and beauty salon. There is also people called Burt(82) Jakie(34) and Maise (82).

P6 Community Island!

Primary6 this term are working on their Communiy. A method that our teachers are using is a make-believe Community Island. We have to design and write information about characters on the island, their families and their facililities. This gets us thinking about our own community and our facilities.
